History of Shri Badrinath Temple

Shri Badrinathji Temple is devoted to Lord Vishnu. Adi shankara established this major pilgrimage site, Badrinath in 9th century. Temple in Badrinath is the major attraction in the town. According to a mythology a black Saligram stone having image of Lord Badrinaravan in the Alaknanda was discover by Shankara. Badrinath Yatra is also a holy pilgrimage site for Vaishnavites.

One of the famous hot water spring is below the temple having 55°c temperature. A dip to this holy water will refresh our body and soul too. This will has to be done before offering prayer to Shri Badrinath ji.

Mata Murti Mandir
On the bank of alaknanda, 3km far away from Badrinath this temple stands. Dedicated to the Lord Shri Badrinath ji’s mother.
Mana Village
4km far away from Badrinath this is a last Indian village before Tibet on this route. Ganesh Gufa, Bhimpul, Vasundhara Falls and Vyas Gufa are some famous tourist attraction places there having Hindu folklore apart from this Badrinath pilgrimage.

By an 8km trek you will reach 4134mts. high altitude lake Vasuki.
